Industrial Ethernet cable for PROFInet networks

This green PROFInet cable, with a diameter of 6.5 mm, is designed for demanding applications in heavy industry. It is ideal for building reliable industrial Ethernet networks, meeting PROFInet Type B and Type C standards. Its flexible construction makes it perfect for applications with cable trays, where ease of routing and minimizing the risk of damage are essential.

Construction and parameters

The cable is characterized by a 2x2x0.75 mm² construction, with four cores (twisted pairs) made of tinned copper. The core insulation is made of PE, and the cores are marked with colors: wh (white), ye (yellow), bu (blue) and og (orange). Additionally, the cable has an aluminum foil and a copper braid to ensure effective shielding against electromagnetic interference. The outer jacket is made of PVC or FRNC (halogen-free PVC), which increases safety and resistance to external factors. An impedance of 100 Ohm ± 15 Ohm guarantees stable data transmission.

Application and compliance with standards

The PROFInet cable is used in industrial automation, control systems and anywhere reliable communication in Ethernet networks is required. It meets the requirements of the standards: PROFInet Guideline + IEC 61158-2 Category 5e and IEC 60332-3 (flame retardancy). The version with FRNC coating is also compliant with standard 60754-1 (halogen-free) and EN50267-2-3 (corrosion resistance). Thanks to this, it can be used in a wide range of temperatures – from -30°C to +75°C during operation and from -30°C to +80°C during installation.
