Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction that provides high flexibility and resistance to abrasion and tearing. The multi-strand, flexible copper cores (class 5) are insulated with special PVC resistant to mineral oils and machine coolants. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) further protects the cable from external factors such as UV radiation, ozone, hydrolysis and microbes. The cores are numbered for easy identification, and the version with a protective conductor (G) has a yellow-green core to facilitate connection. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9.5 mm.

Applications

This cable is widely used in mechanical engineering, construction, installations, and in rolling and steel mills – anywhere that requires high mechanical and chemical resistance. It is ideal for use in areas exposed to contact with oils and coolants. The cable is designed for medium mechanical stress in flexible connections without tensile stress. It can be used both in dry, humid and wet rooms and outdoors. Thanks to its flexibility, it facilitates quick installation even in hard-to-reach places.

Operating parameters

The PUROE-JZ 14G0,5 cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -20°C to +80°C during installation. The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the test voltage is 4000 V. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, guaranteeing safe use. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter during fixed installation. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE).
