Flexible cable for industrial applications and installations

This flexible PUR cable with copper strands, with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², is designed for demanding working conditions. It is characterized by high resistance to abrasion, tearing and the action of oils and coolants, making it an ideal choice for the machinery, construction, rolling mill and steel industries. Its flexibility makes installation easier even in hard-to-reach places.

Construction and properties

The cable has three strands made of unannealed copper, twisted into a rope (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295). The strand insulation is made of special oil-resistant PVC (TI2), which ensures long-lasting and reliable operation. The strands are marked with numbers for easy identification. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides additional protection against mechanical damage and the effects of atmospheric factors. The gray color (RAL 7001) makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation.

The cable complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-1 / DIN EN 50525-1 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The cable is resistant to UV radiation, oxygen, ozone and hydrolysis and microbes.

Information regarding operating parameters: the cable is intended for operation at a rated voltage of 500V. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C for fixed installation and from -20°C to +80°C during flexible operation. The minimum bending radius is 4 x outer diameter for fixed installation and 7.5 x outer diameter during flexible operation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 8.3 mm. The insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km, and the test voltage is 4000 V, while the breakdown voltage is minimum 8000 V.

This cable is perfect for internal and external installations, in dry, damp and wet rooms. Its flexibility allows for quick installation in places exposed to movement and vibration. Remember to maintain the appropriate bending radius during installation to avoid damaging the cable.
