Highly durable cable.
Flexible PUR cable with copper strandsThis flexible control cable with a polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket is designed for applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to abrasion, tearing, and the action of mineral oils and coolants, making it an ideal choice for the machinery industry, construction, installations, and rolling and steel mills. This cable performs well in places exposed to intensive use and harsh environmental conditions.
The cable is particularly recommended for flexible connections where tensile stresses do not occur. It can be used both in dry, humid, and wet rooms, as well as outdoors. Its high flexibility facilitates and speeds up installation.
Construction and properties
The PUR cable has multi-wire copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), insulated with special oil-resistant PVC (TI2). The conductors are twisted in parallel and marked with white numbers according to DIN VDE 0293. In multi-core cables (from 3 cores upwards), there is a yellow-green protective conductor in the outer layer. The outer jacket is made of high-quality polyurethane (TMPU), providing resistance to UV radiation, oxygen, ozone, hydrolysis and microbes. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
Additionally, the cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
Operating and safety parameters
This cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures: from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -20°C to +80°C during flexible operation. The rated voltage is 500 V, and the test voltage is 4000 V. The minimum insulation resistance is 20 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for fixed laying and 4 x cable diameter during flexible operation. The cable is resistant to radiation up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.2 mm for a conductor cross-section of 0.5 mm².
