Flexible cable for demanding applications

This shielded flexible cable JZ-HF-CY 5G1.5 is a reliable solution for use in mechanical engineering, robotics and device manufacturing. Construction and properties

The cable is constructed from five copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², insulated with special PVC (Z 7225). The conductors are twisted in parallel for optimal twist pitch, and the whole is surrounded by an inner layer of PVC fleece. A key element is the screen made of spirally wrapped copper wires, providing high effectiveness in suppressing interference. The outer jacket is made of durable PVC (TM5), resistant to abrasion and oils. The conductors are numbered with white digits for easy identification during installation.

The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substances. The cable is available in grey (RAL 7001) and is supplied in metre lengths.

User parameters and operating range

This cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and a wide operating temperature range – from -10°C to +80°C in flexible mode and from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode. Its outer diameter is approximately 10.5 mm, and the minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 5 x cable diameter for fixed installation. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, and the radiation resistance reaches up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).

Thanks to its construction and properties, this cable performs perfectly in applications requiring frequent bending and movement, such as connections in industrial robots, conveyors or construction machines.
