Flexible control cable JZ-500 – reliability and flexibility in every application

This multi-core flexible cable JZ-500 is an excellent choice for applications requiring frequent bending and movement. The cable is designed to operate in various conditions, both in dry and humid environments, making it a versatile solution for installers and end-users. Made from high-quality materials, it ensures safe and long-lasting operation.

Construction and properties

The JZ-500 cable features a solid construction. Copper conductors, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60288 cl. 5 standards, provide good electrical conductivity and flexibility. Conductor insulation made of PVC Z 7225 guarantees safe use and resistance to mechanical damage. The conductors are black with white number printing, which facilitates the identification of individual wires during installation – particularly useful for more complex installations. Versions with conductors in other colors are also available on request. The outer jacket made of special PVC TM2 protects the cable from external factors and ensures durability.

This cable is resistant to oils and chemicals (detailed information in the "Technical Information" table available from the manufacturer). The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting, confirming its high quality and environmental care. The cable has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards (equivalent to DIN VDE 0472 part 804 test method B).

Application and technical parameters

The JZ-500 cable is designed for medium mechanical loads and is ideal for flexible connections and slowly moving systems without tensile stress. It is perfect for use in dry, wet and humid environments (not outdoors) and as a cable for control and measuring devices in industrial equipment. The special PVC mixture provides excellent flexibility and facilitates quick installation.

This cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500V and 10 conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm². The conductor insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the outer coating is also made of PVC. The cable retains its properties in the temperature range of -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -15°C to +80°C during flexible operation. Its outer diameter is approximately 14.8 mm, and the radiation resistance reaches up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).

The cable complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC (CE marking). A version with a yellow-green protective conductor or without it (marking G or x) is also available. Versions without an outer jacket and conductors numbered according to individual needs are available.
