Flexible control cable JZ-500 – reliability and versatility of applications
This flexible JZ-500 cable with a voltage of 500V is an ideal solution for medium mechanical loads, where flexible connections are required. This cable, with 32 cores with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², is perfect for slowly moving systems, both in dry and humid environments – although it is not suitable for outdoor installation. Numbered cores facilitate identification and speed up the installation process.
Construction and properties
The JZ-500 cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-term and safe operation. It is made of multi-strand copper cores (class 5), insulated with special PVC (Z 7225). The cores are twisted in parallel, and the whole is surrounded by an outer jacket made of PVC (TM2), which provides resistance to mechanical and chemical damage. The jacket color is gray (RAL 7001). The cable is metered, which makes it easier to precisely adapt to installation needs.
Additionally, this cable is resistant to oils and many chemical compounds – detailed information can be found in the "Technical information" table. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The cable has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
Technical parameters and operating range
The JZ-500 cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -15°C to +80°C during dynamic operation. The rated voltage is 500V, and the test voltage is 4000V. The minimum insulation resistance is 20 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is 7.5 x cable diameter, and for stationary operation – 4 x cable diameter. The cable is also resistant to radiation up to 80 x 106 cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 15.9 mm.
