Flexible control cable JZ-500 – reliability and versatility of applications

The JZ-500 cable is a flexible control cable designed for medium mechanical loads. The construction with multi-strand copper conductors ensures high flexibility, making installation easier even in difficult conditions. This cable is ideal for flexible connections in slowly moving systems where tensile stress does not occur. It will work well both in dry and humid rooms (but not outdoors).

Construction and properties – the key to long-term operation

The JZ-500 cable is characterized by a solid construction. Copper conductors are twisted in accordance with DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60288 standards, and the insulation is made of special PVC (Z 7225), providing good electrical insulation and mechanical resistance. The conductors are black with white number printing, which facilitates the identification of individual wires. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (in versions from 3 conductors), increasing safety. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 provides resistance to abrasion and weathering.

This cable also has a number of additional properties: it is oil-resistant, resistant to many chemical compounds and can be used conditionally in cable ducts. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. It meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 standards regarding self-extinguishing and flame retardancy.

Technical parameters and scope of applications

The JZ-500 cable has a rated voltage of 500V and a conductor cross-section of 1 mm². It can be operated at a temperature of -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and -15°C to +80°C (flexible). The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for stationary installation and 7.5x cable diameter for flexible operation. The cable complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC (CE marking). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 21.3 mm. The cable is available in metered versions.

It finds application as a cable for control and measuring devices in industrial equipment and in electrical installations requiring flexibility and resistance to external factors. This is particularly useful in places exposed to contact with oils or chemicals.
