Flexible cable JZ-500 4G1 – reliable connections in security systems
This flexible control cable, designated JZ-500 4G1, is a proposal for installers and users looking for a safe and durable solution for electrical connections. The cable is distinguished by its orange-insulated cores with numbering, which facilitates identification and improves installation organization. This is particularly important in security systems, where precision and reliability are crucial.
Construction and properties
The cable is designed to operate in various conditions, both indoors and in environments with increased humidity. Its construction is based on twisted copper cores, which provide flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) insulation guarantees good protection against external factors. Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils and some chemicals, which expands its range of applications. Made of materials free from silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.
Key construction features:
- Cores: Copper, stranded (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), providing good flexibility and conductivity.
- Insulation: Special PVC (Z 7225), resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage.
- Outer jacket: PVC (TM2), protecting against the influence of atmospheric and mechanical damage.
- Core numbering: Orange cores with black numbers facilitate the identification of individual wires.
- Protective conductor: Present in the JZ version (with a yellow-green protective conductor).
Operating parameters and safety
The JZ-500 4G1 cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C (flexible). The rated voltage is 500V, and the test voltage is 4000V. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for stationary operation. The cable is also resistant to radiation up to 80 x 106 cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad). Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant cable – tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1.
The rated voltage U is 500 V, the rated core cross-section is 1 mm², and the approximate outer diameter is 6.6 mm. The permissible ambient temperature during stationary operation is in the range of -40°C to +80°C, and during installation from -15°C to +80°C.
This cable is used in control systems, power supply of devices and in security installations – especially where core identification by numbering is required. It is ideal for flexible connections without tensile stress in dry, damp and wet rooms (cannot be used outdoors).
