Construction and properties

The cable has been designed with demanding working conditions in mind. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation. Multi-strand copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² guarantee good conductivity and flexibility. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) insulation provides effective protection against mechanical damage and chemical influences. Additionally, the cable is oil-resistant, which expands its range of applications. The outer jacket, also made of PVC (TM2), provides additional protection and durability.

The cable has four core wires and one protective wire (JZ version), which increases safety. The wires are numbered with black digits on an orange background, which makes it easier to identify individual wires during installation and maintenance. This makes installation more efficient and minimizes the risk of errors.

The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and a wire cross-section of 2.5 mm². It has 4 core wires and one protective wire, and its outer diameter is 9.2 mm. The wire insulation is made of PVC (Z 7225), and the outer jacket of PVC (TM2). The cable maintains flexibility in the temperature range of -15°C to +80°C, and in stationary mode from -40°C to +80°C.

Applications and compliance with standards

JZ-500 4G2.5 cable is perfect for control installations with medium mechanical load, where flexible connections are required. It is intended for use in dry, damp and wet rooms – in accordance with EN 60204 part 1 and VDE 0113 part 1 – but should not be used outdoors. Due to its orange wire insulation color, it is ideal for security systems. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The cable complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards and has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing properties and flame resistance (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1). Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
