Flexible control cable JZ-500 5G2.5 – reliability and safety in every circuit
This flexible JZ-500 5G2.5 cable with orange and numbered cores is an ideal solution for applications requiring flexible connections and medium mechanical stress. The cable is designed for installations in dry, humid and wet rooms, ensuring safe and reliable operation. It works particularly well in security systems, where the orange color of the core insulation complies with applicable standards.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction using high-quality materials. Multi-wire copper cores (class 5) provide good flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The core insulation is made of PVC Z 7225, which guarantees long-term protection against mechanical damage and external factors. The cores are twisted in parallel and marked with black numbers for easy identification. The outer jacket made of special PVC TM2 provides additional protection against oils, chemicals and UV radiation.
The cable complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. In addition, the PVC used in the cable is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant (tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1).
Technical parameters and scope of application
The cable has a nominal core cross-section of 2.5 mm², making it optimal for many control applications. The rated voltage of the cable is 500 V, ensuring safe operation in standard electrical installations. It can be used in a wide range of ambient temperatures – from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -15°C to +80°C during flexible operation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 10.1 mm, which facilitates routing it in tight spaces. The cable is also resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad), which increases its durability in conditions exposed to UV radiation. The minimum bending radius is 4 x Ø (stationary) / 7.5 x Ø (flexible), which ensures easy installation and minimizes the risk of damage to the cable during installation.
The cable is used as a control cable in machines and equipment, industrial automation systems and building installations. It is particularly recommended for connections requiring flexibility and resistance to external factors. Thanks to the numbered orange cores, it facilitates the identification of individual wires during installation and maintenance of electrical installations.
