Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a careful construction, ensuring optimal electrical and mechanical parameters. Copper cores, twisted in pairs, are insulated with special PVC TI2, guaranteeing high resistance to abrasion and damage. Additionally, a protective foil minimizes electromagnetic interference. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 provides resistance to moisture and UV radiation.

• Cores made of unannealed copper, stranded wire class 5 (DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, EC 60228).

• Core insulation made of special PVC TI2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3).

• Color coding of cores according to DIN 47100 standard facilitates identification.

• Radiation resistance up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad).

• Materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and technical parameters

The PAAR-TRONIC cable is used in dry, wet and humid rooms (but not outdoors) as a control, measuring and signal cable in computer industry and data transmission. Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal for connections requiring frequent bending without the risk of damaging the cores. The cable is intended only for low-voltage installations with a working voltage of up to 350V.

Information about the technical parameters of the cable: the core cross-section is 0.25 mm², it contains 2 cores with an outer diameter of approximately 4 mm. The cable retains its properties in the temperature range from -5°C to +80°C during flexible operation and from -30°C to +80°C during stationary operation. It has a test voltage of 1200 V and a breakdown voltage of 2400 V, and its insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter during fixed installation.
