Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction designed for long-term and trouble-free operation. The copper core, made of twisted strands, ensures good conductivity and flexibility. PVC TI2 insulation guarantees resistance to chemical and mechanical factors. A braided screen made of copper wires minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference on the transmitted signal. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 protects the cable from external damage.

It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +80°C (flexible). In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substances. The cable meets the requirements of the CE standard, which confirms its compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU.

Applications and installation

TRONIC-CY cable is used in computer systems, control and measuring instruments and in flexible connections where tensile stresses do not occur. Due to its small diameter, it is ideal for miniaturized circuits. It can be used in dry, damp and wet rooms (but not outdoors). For optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with the terminals using cable glands. The minimum bending radius is 5x cable diameter for fixed laying and 10x cable diameter during flexible operation.
