PAAR-TRONIC cable is a flexible solution for data transmission in low-voltage installations. The cable is designed to operate in various conditions – from dry to damp and wet rooms, but is not suitable for outdoor installation. Its construction, based on twisted pair copper conductors and PVC insulation, ensures reliable and durable connections. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.

Construction and design features

The key element of the cable is multi-wire, flexible copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², which provide good flexibility and facilitate installation even in tight spaces. These conductors are insulated with special PVC (TI2) and color-coded according to DIN 47100, making them easy to identify during installation. Twisting the conductors in pairs minimizes electromagnetic interference, and an additional shielding foil increases resistance to noise. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer PVC (TM2) coating in gray (RAL 7032). The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 7.2 mm.

Application and properties

The PAAR-TRONIC cable is primarily used in data transmission systems, as a control, measuring and signal cable in computer industry and other applications requiring a flexible connection. It will be useful where a small cable diameter and resistance to external factors are important. Thanks to its radiation resistance (up to 80 x 106 cJ/kg), it can be used in specific working conditions. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).

Operating parameters

The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -30°C to +80°C after installation (without vibration) and from -5°C to +80°C during installation. It should be remembered that the cable's operating voltage is 350V and it is not intended for high-voltage installations. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, which guarantees good electrical insulation. The minimum bending radius for flexible mounting is 7.5 x cable diameter, and for fixed mounting – 4 x cable diameter.
