Flexible control cable for demanding applications

This 18-core flexible cable JZ-HF 18G1 is the ideal solution wherever exceptional flexibility and reliability are required. It is suitable for use in mechanical engineering, robotics, device manufacturing, and also in flexible connections without tensile stress. The cable is designed to operate in harsh conditions, offering a wide range of operating temperatures and resistance to external factors.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by an advanced construction ensuring high flexibility and durability. Fine-stranded copper conductors, insulated with special PVC Z 7225, are twisted in parallel and secured with a non-woven fabric braid. The outer jacket made of PVC TM5 provides additional protection against mechanical damage and weathering. The cores are numbered with white digits for easy identification. A version with a yellow-green protective conductor is also available.

• Wide temperature range: The cable can operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -10°C to +80°C (flexible).
• Radiation resistance: Resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).
• Safety: Materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. PVC is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1-2 standards.
• Oil resistance: The cable is resistant to oil according to DIN VDE 0473-811-404 / DIN EN 60811-404 standards.
• Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51.

Technical parameters and application

The JZ-HF 18G1 cable with a conductor cross-section of 1 mm² and a rated voltage of 500V is designed for medium mechanical load in flexible connections. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 13 mm. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x Ø cable for flexible routing and 4 x Ø cable for fixed routing.
