Industrial Ethernet Cable for PROFINET – Reliable Data Transmission
This green PROFINET Type A cable, with a cross-section of 2x2x0.64 mm², is designed for reliable data transmission in industrial automation systems. It is an ideal solution for installations requiring high performance and resistance to interference. This cable meets Category 5e requirements, ensuring stable Ethernet network operation in harsh industrial conditions.
Construction and technical parameters
The cable is characterized by a solid construction that ensures durability and reliability. It consists of four copper conductors (2x2), insulated with polyethylene (PE), twisted in star quads. Additional shielding – an aluminum-polyester foil and a braid of tinned copper wires – minimizes the influence of electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing a stable signal transmission. The outer jacket made of PVC provides protection against mechanical damage and weathering. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.5 mm.
It is worth noting the permissible operating temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C during storage and from -20°C to +70°C during operation. The loop resistance is a maximum of 57.5 Ohm/km, and the impedance is in the range of 100 ± 15 Ohm from 1 to 100 MHz. The mutual capacitance of the cable is approximately 48 nF/km.
Application and compliance with standards
The PROFINET A cable is intended for permanent internal installations in industrial environments. It will perform perfectly in PROFINET Type A networks where high data transmission quality and resistance to harsh working conditions are required. It complies with PROFINET Guideline, IEC 61158-2, ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173 Category 5e standards. Additionally, it has flame retardancy according to IEC 60332-3. Thanks to this, it can be safely used in industrial facilities where high fire safety standards are required.
