Silicone cable – flexibility and safety in harsh conditions
This single-core silicone cable is a solution for installations requiring high flexibility and resistance to extreme temperatures. The HELUTHERM SiF cable, manufactured by HELUKABEL, stands out from standard cables thanks to the use of silicone insulation, which ensures reliable operation over a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C in stationary mode, and even up to +180°C in flexible mode. This is an ideal choice where traditional cabling fails.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a multi-strand copper conductor (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228), which ensures high flexibility and easy installation. The silicone insulation guarantees not only thermal resistance but also chemical resistance – the cable is resistant to oils, greases, acids and many other substances. Additionally, it is a halogen-free cable, which increases safety and minimizes the risk of toxic gases in the event of a fire (compliance with DIN VDE 0482-754-1/DIN EN 60754-1/IEC 60754-1 standards). The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500V. The conductor cross-section is 0.25 mm², and its approximate outer diameter is 2.1 mm.
Applications
This cable finds wide application in various industries: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. It will also be useful in power plants and anywhere where high thermal and chemical resistance is required. Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal for dynamic applications and in places exposed to frequent bending. This is a universal product – both for professionals performing installations and for end-users looking for reliable cabling for specific applications.
