High-temperature silicone wire – reliability in harsh conditions

This single-core silicone wire is designed to operate in extreme temperatures and demanding industrial environments. Construction and properties

The core made of stranded copper wire, flexible class 5, ensures good conductivity and easy installation. Silicone insulation guarantees resistance to high temperatures – both in continuous operation (up to +180°C) and short-term loads. The wire retains its flexibility over a wide temperature range, from -60°C to +180°C. Additionally, silicone insulation provides resistance to many chemical substances, such as oils, greases, solvents, acids, and alkalis. The wire has a rated voltage of 300/500 V and a test voltage of 2000 V. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 2.7 mm with a core cross-section of 1 mm².

Applications and benefits

Silicone wire finds wide application in many industries: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement, and ceramic. It will also be useful in power plants due to its halogen-free properties. Its flexibility makes it easy to lay in tight spaces, and its resistance to high temperatures allows it to be used near heat sources. Additionally, it meets the requirements for low flammability and smoke emission during a fire (fire reaction class according to EN 13501-6: None). The minimum bending radius is 6x the wire diameter for fixed laying and 15x the wire diameter for flexible operation.
