Silicone cable for extreme conditions
This single-core silicone cable is designed for applications requiring high temperature resistance and flexibility. It is ideal for industrial installations where standard cables fail. Made of copper, coated with silicone insulation, it provides a reliable connection even in harsh conditions. The cable is characterized by high chemical resistance and is halogen-free, increasing safety.
Construction and properties
The cable consists of a multi-strand, flexible tinned copper conductor (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228) and silicone rubber insulation. This construction guarantees exceptional flexibility and long-term reliability. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C in stationary operation, and briefly up to +200°C. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V, and the test voltage is 2000 V. The minimum bending radius for flexible installations is 15x the cable diameter, and for fixed installations – 6x the cable diameter.
The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and standards regarding halogen-free properties (PN-EN 60754-1, PN-EN 60754-2) and flammability (PN-EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1-2). Additionally, it is resistant to oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, diluted acids and bases, and many other chemicals.
