Single-core silicone wire, high temperature resistant SiF 1x2.5mm² purple 23707
Silicone wire for demanding conditions
This purple, single-core wire, made of copper, stands out for its exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures. Designed for use in harsh industrial environments, it ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions. The silicone insulation construction guarantees flexibility and long-term operation.
Construction and properties
The wire is characterized by a flexible class 5 stranded copper core, which provides high flexibility and ease of installation. Silicone insulation provides resistance to high temperatures – both in flexible operation (from -25°C to +180°C) and stationary (from -60°C to +180°C). The rated voltage is 300/500 V, and the test voltage is 2000 V. The wire also has high dielectric strength (min. 5000 V).
Additionally, the wire meets safety standards regarding reaction to fire (no classification) and smoke emission and acidity (also no classification). It is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 3.6 mm for a cross-section of 2.5 mm². The minimum bending radius is 15x the wire diameter for flexible operation and 6x the diameter for fixed installation.
Applications in industry and power plants
Silicone wire is widely used in various industries, such as: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. Thanks to its chemical resistance, it is also suitable for working in environments exposed to contact with oils, greases, diluted acids and other chemicals. Halogen-free properties make it also ideal for use in power plants. This wire performs where standard cabling fails – high temperatures or aggressive environments are not a problem for it.
