Special application silicone cable

This brown, single-core SiF silicone cable with a cross-section of 4mm² is a reliable solution for installations requiring resistance to extreme temperatures and flexibility. The cable is designed for a wide range of industrial applications where standard cabling fails. Made of copper with silicone insulation, it provides safe and long-lasting connections in harsh conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction ensuring high flexibility thanks to the multi-strand copper core, twisted with soft tinned wires (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228). Silicone rubber insulation guarantees resistance to high temperatures – both in stationary operation (up to +180°C) and flexible operation (up to +180°C). Additionally, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire and minimizes the emission of toxic substances. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V, and the test voltage is 2000 V. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 4.4 mm.

Applications and benefits

The SiF silicone cable finds application in many industries: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. It will also work in power plants thanks to its halogen-free properties. It is ideal where flexibility and resistance to extreme temperatures are required – from -60°C to +180°C in stationary operation and from -25°C to +180°C in flexible operation. Additionally, the cable exhibits resistance to many chemical substances, such as oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, and diluted acids and alkalis. The minimum bending radius for mobile installations is 15x the cable diameter, and for fixed installations – 6x the cable diameter. Meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
