High-temperature silicone wire – reliability in harsh conditions
This single-core silicone wire is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures, both high and low, making it an ideal choice for industrial and specialized applications. Made of copper, covered with a flexible silicone insulation, it provides safe and long-lasting connections in demanding environments.
Construction and properties
The HELUTHERM SiF wire features a solid construction. The core made of stranded tinned copper wire (class 5) ensures good flexibility and corrosion resistance. Silicone insulation guarantees not only thermal resistance in the range of -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +200°C), but also chemical resistance to oils, greases, alcohols and many other substances. Additionally, the wire is halogen-free, which increases safety in case of fire – it limits the emission of toxic gases. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500V. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 5.5 mm with a cross-section of 6 mm².
Applications in industry and beyond
This wire finds wide application in many branches of industry: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. It will also work in power plants and in devices such as industrial furnaces, heating systems or installations in saunas.
