High-temperature silicone cable – reliability in extreme conditions
This flexible silicone cable HELUTHERM SiHF 3G2,5 mm² is an ideal solution for applications requiring resistance to very high and low temperatures. The cable is designed to operate in harsh industrial conditions, ensuring the reliability and safety of installations. Its construction based on special silicone guarantees long-term operation even in the most demanding environments.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a multi-core construction with insulation made of special silicone, which ensures high thermal resistance in accordance with DIN VDE 0250 part 1 and DIN VDE 0285-525-2-83 / DIN EN 50525-2-83 standards. It withstands operating temperatures from -60°C to +180°C, and briefly up to +220°C. Additionally, the cable is resistant to low temperatures down to -60°C. The copper cores are stranded, flexible (class 5), which facilitates assembly and ensures connection flexibility. The core color scheme complies with DIN VDE 0293-308, and the protective conductor is yellow-green (from 3 cores).
This cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire – during combustion, SiO₂ insulation is released, which does not spread flames. It is also resistant to oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, acids, alkalis, and atmospheric conditions and UV radiation.
