High-temperature silicone cable – reliability in extreme conditions

This multi-core HELUTHERM SiHF cable, with insulation made of special silicone, is designed to operate in demanding industrial environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures, both high and low, making it an ideal solution where standard cables fail. This cable complies with DIN VDE 0250 part 1 and DIN VDE 0285-525-2-83 / DIN EN 50525-2-83 standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability.

This cable will find application in installations requiring flexibility and resistance to harsh conditions, such as power plants, metallurgical plants, shipyards or cement plants. Its construction provides not only mechanical strength, but also resistance to oils, greases, chemicals and UV radiation.

Construction and properties

The HELUTHERM SiHF 4G10 mm² cable consists of four stranded copper cores with a cross-section of 10 mm², surrounded by silicone insulation. The cores are identified by colors in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308, which facilitates correct connection. The whole is protected by an outer silicone coating in brick red color. Thanks to the use of high-quality materials, the cable remains flexible even at very low temperatures (down to -60°C) and high temperatures (up to +180°C), and can withstand even +220°C for a short time. Additionally, it is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire – during combustion it leaves only SiO₂ insulation.

Remember to maintain the appropriate bending radius during installation: flexible – 7.5 x cable diameter; stationary – 4 x cable diameter. This cable is intended for laying in open or ventilated cable channels; in non-ventilated spaces, the air temperature should not exceed 90°C due to the potential reduction of the mechanical properties of silicone.
