Silicone cable for extreme conditions
This two-core silicone cable, characterized by high temperature resistance, is designed for applications requiring reliability in harsh conditions. It meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing its quality and safety. It is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who need cables with exceptional durability and flexibility.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of high-quality materials, including silicone insulation of the cores and an outer jacket of silicone. The copper cores are tinned, which ensures good conductivity and corrosion resistance. Core marking is carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 – cores are black or colored with white numbering (in the two-core version brown and blue). The cable construction includes longitudinally twisted cores, which increases its flexibility and facilitates assembly. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 8.2 mm with a cross-section of 1 mm².
This cable is distinguished by a wide range of permissible operating temperatures: from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C) and resistance to radiation up to 20x10⁶ cJ/kg (20 Mrad). Additionally, it is resistant to many chemical substances, such as oils, greases, alcohols, acids, alkalis, and atmospheric conditions. It is halogen-free (compliant with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1), which increases safety in the event of a fire – during combustion it leaves only a SiO₂ coating. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 (equivalent to DIN VDE 0472 part 804 method of tests B) and has a CSA FT1 certificate confirming its flame retardancy.
