High-temperature silicone cable – reliability in extreme conditions
This 3-core silicone cable, with a cross-section of 10 mm², is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard cables fail. It meets UL Style 4476 and CSA AWM II A/B standards, guaranteeing its high quality and safety. It is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who need a reliable conductor in difficult conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by exceptional temperature resistance – from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C). This makes it perfect for applications exposed to extreme heat or cold. Tinned copper conductors, made in accordance with DIN VDE 0295 cl.5, BS 6360 cl.5 and IEC 60228 cl.5 standards, ensure excellent conductivity and flexibility. Silicone insulation and a silicone outer jacket guarantee long-lasting protection against external factors. Core marking according to DIN VDE 0293-308 (colored or with white numbering) facilitates identification and correct installation.
Applications and benefits
This cable finds wide application in many industries: power plants, steel industry, aerospace, shipbuilding, ceramics, glass and cement plants. Thanks to its high flexibility, it is ideal as a connecting cable in places requiring frequent bending. Additionally, it is resistant to many chemical substances – oils, greases, alcohols, acids, alkalis and atmospheric conditions and UV radiation. An important feature is also its halogen-free nature (compliance with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1), which increases safety in the event of a fire – leaving only a SiO2 coating. The cable also has a certificate of conformity with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE).
