Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible, multi-strand tinned copper conductor (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228). The silicone insulation provides not only thermal resistance but also resistance to oils, greases, diluted acids and many other chemicals. The cable construction meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250-1 and 502 standards. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free – which increases safety in the event of a fire and minimizes the emission of toxic gases (compliant with IEC 60332-1-2).

Applications and benefits

This cable finds wide application in demanding industrial sectors: steel, metallurgical, aerospace, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. It also works perfectly in power plants. Its ability to operate in a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C (flexibly from -25°C) – makes it an ideal choice for applications exposed to extreme thermal conditions. The minimum bending radius is 6x the cable diameter for fixed installation and 15x the diameter for flexible operation. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500V.
