Special application silicone cable

This flexible, single-core silicone cable is designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions. It features high heat resistance and is ideal for applications where standard cables fail. Made of tinned copper, multi-strand class 5, it provides a reliable connection and long-lasting operation.

Construction and properties

This cable is distinguished by silicone insulation, which gives it exceptional flexibility even at low temperatures (down to -60°C). It can be used at a stationary temperature of up to +180°C, and briefly even higher. Additionally, it is halogen-free, increasing safety in the event of a fire – it meets IEC 60332-1-2 standard. The copper core with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² (AWG 24) is made of 14 strands with a diameter of 0.15 mm, which ensures its high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 300/500 V and a test voltage of 2000 V.

Applications and benefits

The HELUTHERM SiF cable is particularly recommended for use in demanding industrial conditions: steelworks, foundries, aerospace, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic industries. Halogen-free properties also make it suitable for use in power plants. It is resistant to many chemical substances – oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, diluted acids and alkalis. Therefore, it can be safely used in environments exposed to contact with these substances. The minimum bending radius is 6x the cable diameter for fixed installation and 15x the diameter for flexible operation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 2.1 mm and its weight is only 0.0055 kg/m.
