Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures
This red HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² combines flexibility, safety and reliability. It is an ideal solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures and minimal risk of releasing toxic gases in the event of a fire. The cable is characterized by a construction with copper strands, insulation made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer and the absence of halogen in its composition.
Construction and properties
The cable is designed for a wide range of applications, both in fixed and flexible installations. The copper strands are tinned and made in class 5 (flexible multi-wire), which ensures their appropriate flexibility and mechanical strength. Insulation with cross-linked polyolefin guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. Importantly, the materials used in production do not contain cadmium or silicone, which affects their environmental friendliness and lack of interference with painting processes. The cable meets standards regarding low flammability and smoke emission, which increases safety of use.
Applications and benefits
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), switchboards and in the construction of machines and surface, concealed and in-wall installations. It can be used both in protective conduits (even at voltages up to 1000V AC or 750V DC), as well as in rail vehicles (up to 900V DC). Its halogen-free character makes it particularly recommended in places with increased fire safety requirements – it does not spread flames and does not release toxic gases during combustion, facilitating the evacuation of people. In addition, high temperature resistance allows for potential reduction of the cable cross-section under certain conditions, which can lead to material savings. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V respectively. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 1.8 mm.
