Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures HELUTHERM® 145 1x0.5 mm² brown 51283
Highly temperature-resistant cable. Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperature
This brown HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm² is designed for demanding applications where temperature resistance and fire safety are crucial. It is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for reliable and safe cabling.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a multi-strand copper core (class 5) covered with cross-linked polyethylene copolymer. This construction provides flexibility and durability, as well as resistance to mechanical damage. The insulation is halogen-free, which means that it does not release toxic gases and fumes in the event of a fire – important for evacuation safety. Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils, UV radiation, ozone and weather conditions. Thanks to the materials used, it does not contain cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
Applications and technical parameters
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is widely used in the cabling of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), distribution boards and in the construction of machines and concealed, surface and in-wall installations. It can be used in conduit pipes with a nominal voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC. In rail vehicles, a DC voltage of up to 900V is permissible.
This cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 300/500 V (up to 1 mm²), 450/750 V (from 1.5 mm²) and up to 600/1000 V when laid in conduit pipes. Its operating temperature range is from -35°C to +120°C for flexible operation and from -55°C to +145°C for stationary operation. The minimum bending radius is 8x the outer diameter of the cable for flexible operation and 4x the outer diameter of the cable for stationary operation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 2.1 mm, and the core cross-section is 0.5 mm². The cable passed a voltage test at a level of 3500 V.
The high temperature resistance of the cable allows for a potential reduction in cross-section under certain conditions while maintaining all safety parameters. The electronic cross-linking of the insulation ensures resistance to melting even when in contact with a soldering iron at a temperature of up to 380°C.
