Single-core halogen-free high-temperature resistant cable
This grey single-core cable HELUTHERM® 145 with a cross-section of 0.5 mm² is designed for demanding applications where temperature resistance and fire safety are crucial. Made of tinned copper and insulated with a cross-linked polyolefin copolymer, it ensures reliable operation in various conditions. This cable finds application in both industrial installations and residential construction.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a flexible construction with a multi-strand core (class 5), which facilitates installation and adaptation to specific needs. The cross-linked insulation provides high resistance to mechanical damage, abrasion, and the action of oils and atmospheric conditions. Importantly, the materials used in production are cadmium and silicone-free, minimizing the risk of corrosion and paintwork interference. The cable is also resistant to UV and ozone radiation.
An important feature is its halogen-free nature – in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases and fumes, increasing evacuation safety. Additionally, the cable meets stringent standards regarding fire behavior (DIN VDE 0482-332-3-22, BS 4066 part 3, DIN EN 60332-3-22, IEC 60332-3-22). Tests also confirm its reduced fire propagation and low harmfulness of combustion gases.
Applications and operating parameters
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is ideal for wiring lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), switchboards, and concealed, surface and in-duct installations. It can be used in conduit systems at voltages up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC. In rail vehicles, a DC voltage of up to 900V is permissible.
Temperature range: flexible from -35°C to +120°C, stationary from -55°C to +145°C
Rated voltage: 300/500 V (up to 1 mm²), 450/750 V (from 1.5 mm²), and when laid in conduit even up to 600/1000 V
Minimum bending radius: flexible 12.5 x cable diameter; stationary 4 x cable diameter
Outer diameter: approximately 2.1 mm
Test voltage: 3500 V
