Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures

This grey single-core HELUTHERM® 145 cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² combines flexibility, safety and reliability. It is designed for demanding applications where temperature resistance and minimizing the risk of fire are crucial. Its construction based on electron-crosslinked polyolefin copolymer provides exceptional insulation properties and long-term operation.

Construction and application

The cable is characterized by a multi-wire, flexible class 5 conductor, which facilitates installation and provides good resistance to bending. It is ideal for use in wiring lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (temperature class B), distribution boards, and in the construction of machines and surface, concealed and in-wall installations. The possibility of use in conduit with voltages up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC expands its range of applications. In rail vehicles, it can operate at a DC voltage of up to 900V.

Safety and properties

A key feature of this cable is its halogen-free nature. This means that in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases and fumes, which significantly increases the safety of users and facilitates evacuation. In addition, the cable meets standards for limiting the spread of fire (IEC 60332-1-2), making it particularly recommended for use in public places and facilities with increased fire protection requirements. Resistance to UV radiation and oils guarantees reliable operation even in harsh environmental conditions. High operating temperature – up to +145°C (stationary) and +120°C (flexible) – allows it to be used in heat-generating applications. Copper conductors are tinned according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 or IEC 60228 cl.5 standards, ensuring high electrical conductivity.
