Single-core halogen-free cable for special applications

This green single-core HELUTHERM® 145 cable, with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², is designed for demanding applications where high temperature resistance and fire safety are crucial. Made with a multi-strand class 5 conductor, it provides flexibility and ease of installation. The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V, and its insulation is made of a different material (electronically cross-linked polyolefin copolymer), which guarantees reliability and long-term operation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 3.1 mm.

Safety and reliability in harsh conditions

The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is primarily distinguished by its halogen-free construction, which means that in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases and fumes, enabling safe evacuation. Additionally, it is resistant to high temperatures – both in flexible operation (up to +120°C) and stationary (up to +145°C). This makes it ideal for use in wiring lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines, and in the construction of machines and installations. It can be used in conduit with voltages up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC. In rail vehicles, a DC load of up to 900V is permissible.

Application and properties

This cable finds wide application in both industrial and construction installations. Its resistance to UV radiation and oils makes it perfect for outdoor conditions. Additionally, high abrasion resistance and fire tests compliant with DIN VDE and IEC standards confirm its high quality and safety of use. The cross-linked insulation provides resistance to melting even when in contact with a soldering iron at temperatures up to 380°C. It should be remembered that high operating temperature may allow for a reduction in cable cross-section while maintaining all parameters. The materials used in production are cadmium and silicone-free, further increasing its environmental friendliness.
