Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures
This red HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² combines flexibility, safety and reliability. Designed for demanding applications, it is perfect for both building installations and industry. Its construction minimizes the risk of fire spreading and the release of toxic gases in the event of a fire, making it an ideal choice for locations with increased safety requirements.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by multi-strand, flexible (class 5) copper conductors, which facilitate installation and ensure durable connections. The insulation is made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer, which provides resistance to high temperatures – up to +145°C for fixed installation and +120°C for flexible operation. Additionally, the insulation material is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire. The cable is resistant to UV radiation, ozone and oils, guaranteeing long-term operation even in harsh weather conditions. Thanks to electronic crosslinking, the insulation is resistant to melting even when in contact with a soldering iron at temperatures up to 380°C.
Applications and benefits
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is widely used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), switchgear, and in the construction of machines and concealed, surface and in-wall installations. The possibility of use in protective conduits with voltages up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC expands its range of applications. This is particularly important in rail vehicles where the DC voltage can reach up to 900V. Its halogen-free construction meets stringent fire safety standards (IEC 60332-1-2), ensuring the protection of people and property. Reduced flammability and the absence of toxic fumes are key advantages for installers who care about the safety of their customers. Additionally, the cable complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
