Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a flexible stranded construction (class 5), which makes it easy to install and adapt to various applications. The insulation made of halogen-free polyolefin copolymer not only increases safety in the event of a fire – by limiting the spread of fire and the emission of toxic gases – but also provides high resistance to abrasion, oils and weather conditions. In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The high operating temperature (up to +145°C with permanent installation) allows it to be used in demanding industrial environments.
Applications and benefits
HELUTHERM® 145 cable is widely used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), switchboards and in the construction of machines and surface, concealed and flush-mounted installations. The possibility of use in protective tubes with a voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC expands its scope of use. Thanks to its reduced flammability and lack of emission of toxic fumes, this cable is particularly recommended in places with increased fire safety requirements – public buildings, industrial facilities or alarm systems. Designed for durability, it offers good resistance to UV and ozone radiation and soldering temperature. Its flexibility makes it easy to lay even in tight spaces. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V for a cross-section of up to 1 mm², and increases to 450/750 V from 1.5 mm² (when laid permanently in protective tubes). The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 2.7 mm.
