Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures HELUTHERM® 145 1x10 mm² black 51379
Single-core halogen-free cable for special applications
This black, single-core HELUTHERM® 145 cable with a cross-section of 10 mm² is designed for demanding applications where high temperature resistance and fire safety are crucial. Made of copper, covered with a cross-linked polyolefin copolymer insulation, it provides reliable operation in harsh conditions. The cable is characterized by high flexibility thanks to the multi-wire strand construction (class 5).
Construction and properties
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable stands out with a number of features that make it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users. It is a halogen-free cable, which means that in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases and fumes, facilitating evacuation and minimizing the risk to health. Additionally, it meets standards regarding the limitation of fire propagation. The cross-linked insulation provides resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. The cable is also resistant to soldering in the temperature range of 300°C to 380°C.
- Halogen-free: Ensures safety in the event of a fire by eliminating the emission of toxic gases.
- High temperature resistance: Enables operation in environments with elevated temperatures (up to +145°C stationary and +120°C flexible).
- Flexibility: Multi-wire strand construction facilitates installation and cable routing.
- Chemical resistance: Insulation is resistant to oils and other chemicals.
- UV resistance: Ensures durability even when exposed to sunlight.
- Reduced risk of fire propagation: Meets IEC 60332-1-2 standards for fire resistance.
Applications
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable finds wide application in various industries:
- Wiring of lighting fixtures.
- Heating devices and furnaces.
- Electrical machines (thermal class B).
- Electrical distribution boards.
- Construction of machines and installations in-, on- and flush-mounted.
- Laying in protective conduits (voltage up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC).
- Railway vehicles (DC voltage up to 900 V).
This cable is particularly recommended where high fire safety standards and reliability in harsh working conditions are required. It should be remembered that high temperature load capacity may allow for a reduction in cable cross-section under certain conditions – always consult appropriate guidelines and standards.
