Halogen-free high-temperature cable for demanding applications

HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable is an advanced solution for installations where resistance to high temperatures and fire safety are crucial. Made of copper conductors with a cross-section of 10 mm², covered with a special, cross-linked halogen-free coating, it ensures reliable operation in harsh conditions. Red insulation facilitates identification in the installation.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible construction with a multi-strand core (class 5), which facilitates installation and routing. The used coating made of cross-linked copolymer provides resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. Importantly, the materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not contain substances that interfere with painting. The use of electron beam crosslinking technology makes the insulation resistant to melting even in contact with a soldering iron at temperatures up to 380°C. This makes the cable perfect for applications requiring high thermal stability.

Applications and safety

HELUTHERM® 145 cable is widely used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), switchboards and concealed, surface and flush-mounted installations. The possibility of using it in conduit increases its versatility – allowing operation at voltages up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC (when laid in conduit). In the event of a fire, the cable does not spread flames and does not emit toxic gases, which significantly increases evacuation safety. It meets standards regarding low flammability and smoke emission (IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 61034-1/61034-2). The cable is approved for use in rail vehicles at DC voltages up to 900V. It should be remembered that high temperature load capacity may allow the use of a smaller conductor cross-section under certain conditions – it is worth considering this during installation design.
