This brown single-core HELUTHERM® 145 cable with a cross-section of 16 mm² is designed for safety and reliability in demanding applications. Made of copper, coated with a halogen-free polyolefin copolymer insulation, it provides not only flexibility and durability but also minimizes risk in the event of a fire. The cable is electron-beam cross-linked, which increases its resistance to mechanical and chemical damage.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible stranded construction (class 5), which facilitates installation and provides good resistance to bending. Its outer diameter is approximately 7.6 mm. The rated voltage is 500 V, and the maximum working voltage, depending on the laying conditions, can reach up to 1000 V (when laid in protective conduits). The cable is resistant to UV and ozone radiation, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors. Thanks to the materials used, the cable does not emit toxic gases during combustion, increasing evacuation safety in the event of a fire. Additionally, it is resistant to soldering temperature.

Applications and benefits

The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is widely used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), distribution boards, and in the construction of machines and surface, concealed, and flush-mounted installations. It is particularly recommended where high thermal resistance is required – the operating temperature range is from -55°C to +145°C (stationary) and from -35°C to +120°C (flexible). The possibility of using it in rail vehicles at a DC voltage of up to 900V is an additional advantage.
