This white HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² is designed for safety and reliability in demanding applications. It is characterized by high temperature resistance and properties that limit the spread of fire and the emission of toxic gases during a fire. This is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for safe and durable wiring.

Construction and application

This cable is made of multi-strand copper conductors (class 5), which ensures flexibility and ease of installation. The insulation made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer guarantees high resistance to mechanical damage, weathering and UV radiation. This makes the cable perfect for a variety of applications, including:

  • Wiring of lighting fixtures.
  • Heating appliances and heating systems.
  • Electrical machines (thermal class B).
  • Electrical distribution boards.
  • Installations in, on and under plaster in construction.
  • Applications in rail vehicles (up to 900V DC).

The cable can be used in conduit pipes at voltages up to 1000V AC or 750V DC.

Safety and properties

A key feature of this cable is its halogen-free construction. This means that in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases and fumes, significantly increasing evacuation safety. In addition, the cable meets standards for limiting the spread of fire (IEC 60332-1-2) and minimizes smoke emission (IEC 61034-1+2). High temperature resistance (up to +145°C in stationary operation and +120°C flexible) allows it to be used in places exposed to elevated temperatures, and potentially reduces the need to use cables with a larger cross-section. The conductors are colored according to applicable standards for easy identification. The cable is also resistant to oils, weathering and UV and ozone radiation. Furthermore, the insulation is solder-resistant (up to 380°C), which facilitates installation work.
