Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures
This black, single-core HELUTHERM® 145 cable with a cross-section of 35 mm² is designed for demanding applications where temperature resistance and fire safety are crucial. Made of tinned copper, insulated with a cross-linked polyolefin copolymer, it provides reliable conductivity and long-lasting operation. The cable is characterized by a flexible construction (conductor class 5) which facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces.
Construction and application
This cable is particularly recommended for use in wiring lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), distribution boards, and in the construction of machines and concealed, surface and embedded installations. The possibility of use in conduit with voltages up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC expands its range of applications. Additionally, in rail vehicles it can operate at a DC voltage of up to 900V. Its halogen-free construction means that it does not release toxic gases and fumes in the event of a fire, increasing evacuation safety.
Safety and properties
The cable meets stringent fire safety standards (IEC 60332-1-2) and is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Thanks to the cross-linked electronic insulation, it is resistant to melting even when in contact with a soldering iron (up to 380°C). Additional advantages include resistance to UV radiation, ozone, oils and weathering. High operating temperature – up to +145°C (stationary) and +120°C (flexible) – allows for reducing the cable cross-section under certain conditions without losing its properties. The cable is also silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free.
