Single-core cable for applications requiring high thermal resistance
This halogen-free single-core cable HELUTHERM® 145 with a cross-section of 4 mm² is a reliable solution for installations where resistance to high temperatures and fire safety are crucial. The cable is characterized by its flexibility thanks to the multi-wire strand construction of the core (class 5), which facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces. The use of a cross-linked polyolefin copolymer as insulation ensures long-lasting and stable operation in harsh conditions.
Construction and properties ensuring safety
The cable has been designed to minimize risk in the event of a fire. The materials used in its production do not release toxic gases and fumes, significantly increasing evacuation safety. It meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 regarding flame retardancy and EN 50267-2-2 confirming its halogen-free nature. Additionally, the cable is characterized by good resistance to oils, weather conditions and UV radiation, guaranteeing its durability even in demanding environments.
Applications and technical parameters
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable is widely used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (thermal class B), distribution boards and concealed, surface and in-wall installations. It can be used with a nominal voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC when laid in conduits, and even up to 900V DC in rail vehicles. Its operating temperature range is -55°C to +145°C (stationary) and -35°C to +120°C (flexible). The rated voltage U/U0 is 500/300 V for cross-sections up to 1 mm² and 750/450 V for cross-sections from 1.5 mm² upwards. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 4.5 mm. The cable is supplied in black color and has a fire reaction class of Dca according to CPR standard.
