Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures
This blue HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable with a cross-section of 6 mm² is a flexible and safe solution for applications requiring high temperature resistance and minimal risk in the event of a fire. The cable is designed for installers and end-users who value reliability and safety.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction based on a multi-strand, flexible copper core (class 5), providing good flexibility and ease of installation. The insulation is made of electron-beam cross-linked polyolefin copolymer, which ensures high temperature resistance and flame-retardant properties. Thanks to the use of halogen-free materials, the cable does not release toxic gases and fumes in the event of a fire, increasing evacuation safety. The cable is resistant to UV radiation, ozone and many oils, which expands its range of applications.
Applications and benefits
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable finds wide application in various areas:
- Wiring of lighting fixtures: Safe routing of cables in places exposed to high temperatures.
- Heating devices: Ideal for connecting heating devices such as furnaces, heaters or dryers.
- Electrical machines (thermal class B): Provides reliable power supply to motors and other machine components.
- Distribution boards: Safe energy transport inside distribution cabinets.
- Machine and installation construction: Universal application in various types of electrical installations.
- Rail vehicles: Can be used at DC voltage up to 900V.
Thanks to its high temperature load capacity (up to +145°C for fixed installation and +120°C for flexible installation), the cable can be used in harsh working conditions, and in certain situations even allows reducing the conductor cross-section. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V or 450/750 V depending on the cross-section and method of laying (up to 1000V when laid in protective conduits). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.2 mm. The cable meets safety standards regarding low smoke emission and the absence of toxic substance release during combustion (CPR Dca).
