Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures HELUTHERM® 145 1x70 mm² black 51476

Single-core halogen-free cable, resistant to high temperatures

This black HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable with a cross-section of 70 mm² is designed for demanding applications where temperature resistance and fire safety are crucial. Made of tinned copper with a cross-linked polyolefin copolymer insulation, it provides a reliable connection in electrical installations.

Construction and application

The cable features a flexible stranded construction (class 5), making it easy to install and adapt to various configurations. It is ideal for wiring lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines (temperature class B), distribution boards, and in the construction of machines and concealed, surface and duct installations. The possibility of using it in conduit increases its versatility – with a nominal voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC. In rail vehicles, it can operate at a DC voltage of up to 900V.

Safety and properties

The most important feature of this cable is its halogen-free nature. This means that in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases and fumes, significantly increasing evacuation safety. Additionally, the cable meets IEC 60332-1-2 standards regarding fire behavior – it does not propagate flames. High temperature resistance (up to +145°C in stationary operation and +120°C flexibly) allows for reducing the cable cross-section under certain conditions, optimizing installation costs. The cable is also resistant to UV radiation, oils, and weathering. Electronic crosslinking of the insulation provides resistance to melting even when in contact with a soldering iron (up to 380°C).

Additional advantages:

  • Flexibility: Stranded construction facilitates cable routing and connection.
  • Durability: Resistance to abrasion, tearing, and weathering ensures a long service life.
  • Compliance with standards: The cable has Germanischer Lloyd approval and meets the requirements of Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
  • Rated voltage: Available rated voltages are 300/500 V and 450/750 V (depending on the cross-section and installation method).
  • Minimum bending radius: Flexible: 12.5 x cable diameter; Stationary: 4 x cable diameter.
