Compatibility and purpose

The KS2100-45-1R structure is used to expand existing solar installations - it is an extension bracket designed to mount each subsequent collector in an array. It fits popular flat collectors of the KS2100 and KS2600 series.

The HEWALEX mounting system is based on a modular concept: you choose the base brackets (2B for two collectors in an array, 1B for a single vertical collector, 1H for a single horizontal collector), and then add 1R extensions during installation expansion. This way, you do not have to replace the entire set - purchasing one extension bracket allows you to add another module to the existing array.

In the bracket symbol, you will find information about the size of the compatible collector (KS2100 or KS2600), the target tilt angle (15° or 45°), and the type of roof structure mounting (H430, S200). When planning an installation, it is worth determining the number of collectors in a single array right away - this determines the selection of base vs. extension brackets.

The structure is mounted on flat roofs with an inclination below 15°. The tilt angle of the collector itself is adjustable within the range of 25-45°, which allows for optimal positioning relative to the sun even on nearly horizontal surfaces.

Structure and tilt angle

The profiles are adapted for direct mounting on a flat roof structure using dedicated anchoring elements. The tilt angle adjustment range (25-45°) allows the panel positioning to be adapted to the latitude of the installation site - the further north, the steeper the setting improves energy efficiency.

Installation and installation conditions

Installation on a flat roof requires solid fastening - the structure must withstand the load from the weight of the collectors and wind forces. You mount the 1R bracket as an expansion element between the existing base bracket and the target location of the new collector.

The manufacturer provides detailed installation instructions (separate for 1B, 1H, and 1R configurations) - it is worth reviewing them before starting work. The documentation also includes a version for two-collector arrays (2B).

When mounting on the ground, additional substructure is necessary - this can be a steel foundation frame or concrete footings. In such a configuration, the structure works well where a suitable roof is lacking or when the installation is temporary or for demonstration purposes. The manufacturer provides this option as an alternative to standard roof mounting.
