Diaphragm vessel for heating and sanitary installations

The DP 18 vessel is a universal diaphragm solution with a capacity of 18 liters, which works both as an expansion vessel in heating systems and as an expansion/buffer tank in sanitary installations for domestic hot water heating. The maximum working pressure is 10 bar, and the operating temperature is up to 99°C.

Construction and materials ensuring durability

The heart of the vessel is a fixed butyl rubber diaphragm, which effectively separates water from compressed air, eliminating the risk of medium contamination. The diaphragm is protected by a food-grade rubber protective coating, guaranteeing safety for contact with drinking water. The construction is reinforced by a carbon steel clamping ring and a galvanized steel hexagonal element, ensuring the stability of connections throughout the entire service life.

The body is made of steel covered with a durable green epoxy powder coating RAL6005, which protects against corrosion and mechanical damage. The connection is made of INOX stainless steel, which translates to the highest medium quality and no negative impact on the taste and smell of the water.

Operating parameters and system compatibility

The device operates at a pre-charge pressure of 2.5 bar, which can be adjusted according to the requirements of a specific installation. The DN1 3/4" GAS connection allows for easy connection to standard hydraulic systems. Compact dimensions (Ø270×400mm) and a hanging mounting method allow for efficient use of installation space.

The vessel has been specially adapted for solar installations, maintaining full functionality under the variable operating conditions typical for solar energy systems. The design is intended for continuous operation without the need for any maintenance, which minimizes operating costs.

Universal application and operational advantages

In heating systems, the vessel effectively absorbs changes in medium volume caused by temperature increases, protecting the installation from damage resulting from excessive pressure. In sanitary installations, it serves an accumulation and equalization function, stabilizing the pressure.
