ELBI DS.18 expansion vessel for glycol installations

The ELBI DS.18 expansion vessel has been designed for demanding heating installations and solar installations using glycol as a heat carrier. Thanks to its 18 liter capacity and a maximum working pressure of 8 bar, it is suitable for various types of installations.

Particular attention has been paid to the durability of the construction - the internal surface has undergone TOP-PRO® anti-corrosion treatment, which protects the vessel from the harmful effects of glycol and other operating fluids. The rubber bladder made of SBR ensures long-term tightness and resistance to temperature changes.

High-quality construction and materials

The vessel body is made of steel coated with a durable white epoxy powder coating, which not only provides an aesthetic appearance but, above all, protects the metal from corrosion throughout its entire service life.

The 3/4" hydraulic connection is located at the bottom of the vessel, which significantly facilitates installation and subsequent maintenance of the system. This configuration allows for optimal piping routing and minimizes the risk of air accumulation in the system.

The device dimensions (410mm height × 270mm diameter) have been selected to ensure a compact form while maintaining full functionality. The vessel can be mounted either on a wall or on special feet (available separately).

Operating parameters and operational safety

The device operates effectively in a wide temperature range - up to 110°C. The pre-charge of 3 bar is factory-set and adjusted to the standard operating parameters of most systems.

The maximum working pressure of 8 bar provides a large safety margin during installation operation, protecting the entire system from potential pressure overloads resulting from the thermal expansion of the working fluid.

The construction holds a CE certificate confirming compliance with European standards.

Application in installation practice

The ELBI DS.18 vessel is used in various types of heating and solar installations where control of the working fluid volume is required under variable temperature conditions. In solar installations, it protects the system against excessive pressure increases during intense sunlight.

Thanks to the special TOP-PRO® anti-corrosion surface, the vessel can operate with different types of glycols - ethylene or propylene - without the risk of damaging the internal structure due to aggressive anti-corrosion additives contained in solar fluids.

The design allows for easy installation by professional installers in various types of heating and solar installations.
