DSV Diaphragm Expansion Vessel for Solar Installations
The HEWALEX DSV diaphragm expansion vessel is a key element of every solar installation, responsible for maintaining the optimal pressure of the heating system. Thanks to its 200 liters capacity and robust diaphragm construction, the device effectively compensates for changes in the volume of the heat carrier caused by increases in the medium's temperature.
The use of a rubber diaphragm as a separator between the water and the heating medium eliminates the risk of fluid contamination and prevents the mixing of different working fluids. The diaphragm type construction guarantees a constant pressure value throughout the entire installation, which translates into stable operation of solar collectors and optimal energy efficiency of the system.
Operating Parameters and Safety
The DSV model operates at a maximum working pressure of 10 bar, with a factory pre-charge pressure set at 3 bar. This range of parameters allows for safe operation even at high medium temperatures reaching 110°C, which is typical for solar installations during intense sunlight.
The 1 inch connection diameter enables easy connection to existing installation infrastructure using standard threaded components. The white color of the housing not only meets aesthetic requirements but also facilitates device identification during service work and technical condition inspections.
Construction and Materials
The upright form of the vessel ensures mounting stability and access to the filling and drain valves located at the top of the tank. The diaphragm, made of high-quality rubber material, shows resistance to glycol and other additives used in solar installations as anti-corrosive and anti-freeze agents.
The vertical construction limits sediment accumulation at the bottom of the tank due to the natural upward flow of the medium.
Application and Compatibility
The DSV vessel finds particular application in heating systems utilizing solar energy, where maintaining constant pressure affects the correct circulation of the working fluid through the solar collectors. The device is mounted in both single-family housing and larger commercial facilities equipped with solar collectors.
Thanks to the standard 1 inch connection diameter and typical diaphragm construction, the vessel fits most solar installations available on the Polish market.
