Advanced solar installation control

The G422-P09 solar controller is one of the most advanced controllers on the market. It is a standalone regulatory device designed to control the operation of solar installations. Thanks to compliance with the ErP (Energy related Products) directive, the device works with both standard fixed-speed pumps and high-efficiency pumps with electronic speed regulation, which translates into electricity savings.

The user panel is equipped with a clear LCD display and an intuitive touch keyboard, allowing for easy programming and monitoring of the entire installation's operation. The controller supports 6 temperature sensors, 3 circulation pumps or control valves, and 2 electronic pumps controlled by a PWM signal, allowing for precise management of even the most complex solar systems.

Functionality and system compatibility

The device is mounted as a replacement part in the ZPS18 series pump group. The system supports various solar installation schemes, including configurations with central heating assistance and swimming pool water heating.

Advanced features include the possibility of connecting electronic flow meters and a pressure switch to control the pressure in the solar installation. Thanks to the EKO-LAN module, remote monitoring of the entire installation's operation via the EKONTROL system is possible, enabling control of operating conditions even from a remote location.

The controller offers extensive time programs for circulation pumps, especially the domestic hot water circulation pump, as well as an extended function for setting its duty cycle. The hygienic function performs periodic antibacterial disinfection (anti-legionella), ensuring the safety of hot water use.

Safety and operation monitoring

The system provides comprehensive protection of the installation against overheating - it protects solar collectors from damage at high temperatures, as well as the domestic hot water heater from dangerous temperature increases by transferring excess heat to a solid fuel boiler.

The holiday function protects the installation from overheating during longer periods of no heat demand, automatically adjusting operating parameters to current conditions. Graphical indications show current temperatures and installation operating states, while daily, weekly, monthly, and multi-year counters enable system efficiency analysis.

The device provides real-time information on the heating efficiency of the solar collectors and the electricity consumption of the solar circulation pumps. Early visual and audible signaling of fault states allows for a quick reaction in case of problems.

The controller supports operation optimization through the possibility of limiting the operation of the primary heat source (e.g., a heating boiler) and selecting the solar installation's operating priority - the priority can be set for domestic hot water, heating assistance, or swimming pool water heating.

Compliance with standards and multilingual functions

The device meets the requirements of the ErP directive regarding the energy efficiency of energy-related products, making it compatible with the latest European Union legal requirements concerning energy savings. The system offers support for 22 interface languages, allowing messages to be adapted to user preferences and local technical standards.
