Application and Purpose

The FI 3×340mm titanium anode is an advanced protective solution for domestic hot water heaters with a capacity of up to 250 liters. Unlike traditional magnesium anodes, which undergo gradual depletion, the titanium anode provides continuous corrosion protection throughout its entire service life without the need for replacement.

The device works with P09A series controllers and the G422-P08 model, where it functions as an anode power supply for the anode located in the water tank. This system provides active tank protection through controlled direct current supply, which effectively inhibits corrosion processes on the heater walls.

Construction and Power Supply

The anode is made of high-quality titanium, guaranteeing its durability and resistance to the aggressive aqueous environment in DHW heaters. Power is supplied via the G422-P08 solar controller through a cable permanently connected to the controller.

A key design feature is the absence of material wear during operation - unlike magnesium anodes, which dissolve to protect the tank, the titanium anode remains intact for years of operation.

Control Functions and Safety

The system is equipped with advanced monitoring functions for the anode's operation. In the event of device malfunction, the controller automatically triggers an alarm, informing the user of the need for service intervention.

Additionally, the system records the anode's operating time, which can be checked in the controller menu: "Menu" → "Statistics" → "Anode operating time". This function enables monitoring of the continuous operation of the protective system.

As part of the safety requirements, it must be remembered that extending the power cables between the controller and the anode is not permitted. Incorrect polarity connection (negative "-" pole to the titanium anode rod and positive "+" pole to the heater shell) will cause very intense corrosion and rapid damage to the device. Additionally, the controller does not signal an alarm in the event of an accidental change in power polarity.
