Application and Working Media

The valve is designed for systems carrying water, oils, or other media that do not react with carbon steel – such as district heating networks, air conditioning systems, water supply networks, and industrial installations. It is approved for use with fluids compliant with Group 2 according to Directive 97/23/EC. It is not suitable for aggressive media, such as acids, alkalis, or chemical agents that may damage the steel structure.

Construction and Operating Conditions

The body is made of carbon steel, ensuring mechanical strength and durability in industrial conditions. The maximum working pressure is 40 bar (4.0 MPa), and the operating temperature range spans from -20°C to +200°C, allowing use in both cooling and hot systems. The valve weighs 3.9 kg, indicating a solid yet manageable design for installation.

The internal construction is based on a classic ball design with O-ring seals, ensuring tightness over multiple opening and closing cycles. The absence of a handle in the standard version (available separately) allows flexible installation – for example, under a worm gear or other control mechanisms.

Installation and Operation

The valve does not feature threaded or welded connections; its connections are designed for welding or other mechanical joining methods (e.g., flanges). External dimensions (L=55 mm, H=100 mm, ØD1=68 mm) enable compact installation even in confined spaces. The square stem with a 14 mm side allows easy manual operation using a wrench – which is essential for installers working without automation.

No special maintenance is required – regular inspection of tightness and medium cleanliness is sufficient. It operates reliably even with frequent cycling thanks to the stable stem and seal construction.
